Is there public transportation?

Yes, the Star Line Trolley and the Valley Metro Bus Line stop at The Bridges.

How far is it from Downtown Roanoke?

Downtown Roanoke Market Square is a convenient 1.9 miles from The Bridges.  It will take approximately 20 minutes by foot, 3 minutes by car, and 15 minutes by public transportation.

Where is the closest grocery store?

There are several grocery store options within 1.5 miles of The Bridges. 

Tinnell's is located in South Roanoke.

Kroger and Fresh Market are located at Towers Shopping Center.

Natural Food Coop is located in Downtown Roanoke Market Square.

Where do I park for events?

Parking is available at the Riverside Garage.  Dr Pepper Park offers a shuttle from the parking garage to the event venue.

 

Is there free parking?

Each business at The Bridgesoffers free parking.

What is security like on the property?

The Bridgesis well lit with over 23 light posts, security features on each building, and the area is regularly patrolled by Roanoke City Police and Carilion Police.

What are some outdoor activities near The Bridges?

The Roanoke Valley Greenway is just a short walk from The Bridges.  This is a great place to walk, ride or run.  Future plans are to create a pedestrian bridge directly from The Bridges to the Roanoke Greenway.  Thekayak launch in to the Roanoke River is conveniently located on site.  River's Edge is always full of activity and festivals that celebrate the outdoors.  

 

          

           If you want a challenge, Mill Mountain has trails along the mountain for hiking and running.

Dr Pepper Park hosts many concerts and festivals throughout the spring, summer and fall including Woofstock, Wingfest, and Mid-Atlantic Cajun Festival.  Check out their calendar of events.
